Legal Update and Ethical Decision Making (June 30, 2020)

This 8-hour course will provide information concerning current legislative changes, new or modified laws, case decisions and judicial decisions which affect a peace officer’s working environment. The course also covers ethical decisions currently faced by peace officers.

Course includes training and updates on issues pertaining to:

First Amendment
Fourth Amendment (Search and Seizure)
Cellphone searches
Residential Searches and Living Arrangements
POBAR
Brady
Personal cellphones
Social media
Scenario-based ethical decision making

Student Cancellation Policy: Student cancellations confirmed more than five (5) business days prior to the start of the class will not be charged for the course. If the course has already been paid for, it will be refunded. For all cancellations received five (5) or less business days before the start of the class will be charged at full price. This late cancellation charge compensates Law Enforcement Training Solutions for the non-refundable costs incurred prior to the start date of the course.

Student No Shows: If a student does not show for the first day of class, there will be a full charge for the course.
