This 8-hour course provides the student with the tools to help identify prescription medications and illegal drugs and how they are used. By knowing what the more common medications and illegal drugs are, the officers and agents of probation, parole, and corrections can better prepare themselves to recognize the signs and symptom, as well as conditions that would require the use of certain medications.
Course topics include training on:
Prescription medication recognition
Illegal medication recognition
Safety concerns of handling and packaging medications and illegal drugs
Methods of administration of prescription medication and illegal drugs
Signs and symptoms of people under the influence of prescription medications and illegal drugs
Methods of obtaining non-prescribed prescription medications and illegal drugs
Pertinent laws for prescription medications and illegal drugs
Student Cancellation Policy: Student cancellations confirmed more than five (5) business days prior to the start of the class will not be charged for the course. If the course has already been paid for, it will be refunded. For all cancellations received five (5) or less business days before the start of the class will be charged at full price. This late cancellation charge compensates Law Enforcement Training Solutions for the non-refundable costs incurred prior to the start date of the course.
Student No Shows: If a student does not show for the first day of class, there will be a full charge for the course.
